Professor George Nwangwu has over 25 years of experience as a lawyer spanning various aspects of legal practice and academia in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He is also a chartered accountant, financial consultant, and public policy professional. He is a leading expert on project finance law and private sector led finance for infrastructure in Africa. His research in this area has been cited widely.
Professor Nwangwu was a DFID/World Bank funded consultant with the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) where he served as Special Adviser to the Director General on legal and strategy matters and later Head of the Strategy and Multilateral Relations. He was PPP Project Coordinator and Head of the PPP Division, Federal Ministry of Finance. He was also a special adviser to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Hon. Minister of Finance on PPPs and infrastructure finance.
Currently, he holds the following positions: Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law, Nile University Abuja; Extraordinary Professor at the Department of Mercantile Law, Stellenbosch University; Senior Fellow of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, Harvard Kennedy School, University of Harvard as well as an Honorary Senior Research Associate in the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management, University College London. He is also founder and Director General of the Centre for Law and Business, Abuja, Nigeria, and the managing partner of Ratio Legal Practitioners in Nigeria. To date Professor. Nwangwu has led transaction teams that have participated in the delivery of over100 privatization/ PPP/ climate finance transactions worth over USD 20 billion, working either on the side of the public sector or private sector in Nigeria.
He has the following qualifications: LL. B (Hons.) University of Lagos; LLM (Hons.) University College London; Ph.D. University of Hull; MBA University of Oxford.
Dr. Celestine E. Ikuenobe is an agronomist with a PhD from the University of Ibadan. He served as Executive Director of the Nigerian Institute for Oil Palm Research (NIFOR) from 2018-2023, where he specialized in oil palm, coconut, raphia, and date palm research, with expertise in agronomy, soil fertility, and climate change. He has extensive experience in research, teaching (University of Benin & Ambrose Alli University), and consultancy, including roles with UNIDO, Solidaridad, and the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN). Currently, he is an independent consultant.
Ogechukwu Olufunmilola Modie’s career spans over 25 years across Nigeria’s private, public, and third sectors, with expertise in finance, opinion research, and public policy. She has held key positions in organizations like Agusto & Co., Heirs Alliance, NOIPolls (where she was the first female CEO), and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, contributing to multimillion-dollar projects and major reforms in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. An entrepreneur, she founded Alternativ Managers and several media and leadership ventures, and is also an author known for her “Waters for the Thirsty Soul™” devotional series. Modie is also recognized for her philanthropy through foundations like Wellspring of Life Global Outreach, Heels of Influence, and FirstBorn Foundation, which have impacted over 12,000 individuals, and she is a sought-after speaker at global conferences, addressing leadership, public policy, women’s empowerment, and social development.
Mr. Bosco Godfrey Nwokeji is a business leader with 25 years of experience in the public, corporate, and private sectors. He possesses a BSc in Economics from the University of East London and a master’s in development administration from the University of Westminster. His expertise, developed through roles at the UK’s Strategic Rail Authority, Nigeria’s Central Bank, and as the founder of Drums Group of Companies and Executive Director at Gomays and Company Limited, includes strategic planning and corporate leadership.
Ahmed Musa is a seasoned professional with over 21 years of experience in the financial services and government sectors. His expertise spans Islamic and conventional finance, as well as retail, corporate, and investment banking. He is known for his attention to detail, high-quality results, and effective communication skills, enabling him to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Ken Oguzie is a results-driven international trade and investment professional with over a decade of experience across four continents and five countries. He is the President/Founder of Africa Canada Trade and Investment Venture (ACTIV), a consulting firm specializing in trade and investment solutions between Canada and Africa, across diverse sectors. Ken is known for driving sustainable growth, fostering international partnerships, and facilitating large-scale trade and investment deals. He holds degrees from the University of Greenwich, the London School of Economics, and Dalhousie University.
